With the ever increasing pressure to please

environmental organizations, golf courses are being put under pressure to encourage fauna and flora. This coupled with the "Committed to Green" initiative supported by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, the European Tour and the entire golf community worldwide, Mount Edgecombe Country Club have adopted and are embarking on various initiatives of our own introducing fallow lying areas and indigenous trees to our golf courses creating mini eco systems. This not only presents and aesthetically appealing links like feel to the golf course defines, but also provides the golfer with a more challenging shot choice on what appears to be shrinking golf courses as golf equipment technology improves.
