Mount Edgecombe Country Club is actively involved in league golf

and has a reputation of fielding strong and competitive teams. There are four men's league teams, a senior men's team and three ladies teams competing in their various Leagues.
The men's A team, competing in the scratch league, has in recent years dominated the league with the team comprising of a successful combination of experience and youth. The calibre of player in the A team is of anything between a +2 and a 1 handicap.
The B team and C team, have at any given time, a very strong base of players to pull from. These teams can field players with handicaps ranging between a scratch and a 4 handicap. The B team, like the A team, have a formidable record and prove to be contenders for top honors in their league year after year.
The Allerton league is for players of handicaps 9 and above and allows for the higher handicapped golfers to take part in competitive golf.
The men's senior league team pride themselves in their commitment and competitive spirit. They participate in the Durban Central Senior league and do Mount Edgecombe Country Club proud.
Our ladies teams participate in the Ladies Durban and Districts league. There are three teams representing us in the various divisions. Not only are the ladies teams competitive but their spirit and comradeship is the envy of other clubs.
