The club introduces this dynamic and rapidly growing sport with facilities designed to cater to both the serious competitor and the casual player looking to engage in a social and healthful activity.


With a focus on fostering a competitive spirit and a strong sense of community, Mount Edgecombe’s Padel Club invites players to challenge themselves on what are considered the finest courts in the nation. The vibrant competition for ranking on the club ladder echoes the club’s dedication to excellence in sport and camaraderie amongst its members.


In addition to serving the competitive edge, the club welcomes social members who prefer the casual rally of racquet sports as a means to fitness and fun. Governed by a solid framework of regulations, the Padel Club ensures the maintenance of its world-class standards, exclusively available to club members. Prospective players are required to become a part of the Mount Edgecombe Country Club to enjoy these premium facilities.


All bookings and court management are done via the Playtomic app. Once joining as a Mount Edgecombe member you will be granted access to book courts using the playtomic mobile app.

The Squash Club boasts a very strong squash and racquet ball section. Currently Adrian Hansen heads up the number one position in the 1st Division squash section. Mount Edgecombe Country Club Squash is renowned for its vigorous competition for positions on the club ladder, we also have arguably the best two squash courts in the country.

The Squash Section also boasts many social members that play racquet ball just to keep fit, the section runs on a firm set of rules ensuring that this facility remains world class. It is important to note that the courts are exclusively for Club members and should anyone wish to play they will have to join Mount Edgecombe Country Club first. The active members of the Mount Edgecombe Country Club train throughout the week and the strength varies from top provincial level to the more social game. Mount Edgecombe Country Club Estate Pani 2


Enjoy the spectacular scenery of Mount Edgecombe Country Club’s Courses from a different viewpoint… the water!

The Paddling & Water sports section includes kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on Pani Dam. The dam is open all day paddlers must stay in middle of dam (yellow line on illustrated image left) while golfers are teeing off.

The Watershed Cafe is adjacent for that much needed refreshment afterwards. A weekly time trial / ‘dice’ is held every Wednesday evening.

Mount Edgecombe Country Club Angling Section started in July 2012. Its aim is to promote the sport of angling and provide facilities for its members. Since its formation, it has also become known as the “Mount Edgecombe Fishing Club.” Section activity is focused only on fresh water fishing on the Estate.

Angling Membership is only open to Residential Members of the Mount Edgecombe Country Club Estate. Membership is controlled in accordance with the number of lakes/ponds on the Estate and the impact on golfing activities.

In order to fish at MECC, members MUST join the angling section and pay an annual licence fee. Angling is NOT ALLOWED without a fishing license.

Present in the Estate waters are a number of species including Bass, Carp, Tilapia, Barbel and Eels. Catch and release is encouraged.

Contrary to popular belief Bowls is a game for all ages so we invite you to give it a try. The Club has a BowlsSA qualified coach who will give free lessons.

Mount Edgecombe Country Club Bridge Club.

Bridge will be every Monday and Thursday starting at 13h00 at the Clubhouse, ending at approximately 16h30.

The Trail, built and maintained by Ian Wilson from Single Track Minded, is almost 15 kilometres long and runs across both Estate 1 and Estate 2. The Trail is for walkers, runners and Mountain Bikers.

The track is for mountain bikers, runners and walkers and is open out of golf hours.
